Multicrome Glitter Nail Polish Review

Gosh, my last post was 10 days ago,  I have been trying to find functioning cameras for a while and testing them, so I have completely forgotten to make any posts. I left my own camera in Spain knowing that my grandfather buys a new camera every three years and the whole place is filled with them. All different sizes and looks, one older than the other. I have like 4 ancient cameras on my nightstand. Surprisingly, not many of them work, or have been lent to someone. So I am left using a pentax k10d that works only when and where it wants to, complete with a SD card that only saves about half of the pictures. Enough of chatting,  time to get to the actual review.
I am reviewing a translucent glitter polish from born pretty store. See here.
The polish has a gorgeous multicrome shine. Would make a simple french mani angelic. The polish smelt quite cheap, but preformed well, the brush was a bit fanned out which I didn't like. It dried in 4,5 min.

Shiny shiny polish
You can buy this polish for 7.99 from here.

How Unicorns are Made

This is a review of Born Pretty Store's holographic nail polish.
Some time ago Born Pretty Store made their first collection of nail polishes, and to celebrate that, they gave away 200 bottles of it, I was one of the lucky winners. And got myself a bottle in 11#.
I have tried a few holographic polishes, but this one impressed me the most. I don't know if it's the formula or this color brings out the glitter more. The formula was great, I used 3 coats for the pictures. Unfortunately, I forgot to measure the drying time, and I didn't bring it with me on vacation. I don't even know if anyone actually cares for the dry time anyway :). Now, to conclude this post here is my really lame attempt at being funny :D.

Okay okay THIS is the LAST cookie I am having

So, I received this gorgeous green glitter polish form Born Pretty Store.

I absolutely adore this shade. The pictures show 3 coats of polish. One coat of this polish dried in 2,3 min. It's a gelly polish so it's very translucent. It's like a brush on gelly sandwich manicure. It's also quite easy to apply.

Look, this has got to be the cutest little monster ever. So happy with his little cookie, awww. I just want to hug the little guy.
If you are interested in this polish you can buy it here. And don't forget about mu coupon code SCL91

Pandora's Makeup Box- Polish and Perfume Duos

So, a few days ago I received these adorable little polish and perfume sets from pandora's makeup box.
Aren't these boxes just the cutest?

Citrus Playful:

According to the website the perfume has Top Notes of Aldehydes, Galbanum, Orange Blossom. Middle Notes of Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, Rose. Base Notes of Musk, Cedar, Amber, Oakmoss. Now, if you are like me, you have less than no idea how all these ingredients smell. Id say it's quite spicy, reminds me of orange leaves.
I hate red nail polish. Like really really hate red nail polish. It's the prefect way of saying look at me I have no imagination and am just as unique as a toothpick. However it is a very vibrant and pretty color, just not on my nails. Nevertheless, the polish is very shiny and not very opaque. Picture shows two coats of polish. The brush and the formula are amazing. I have had really shaky hands today and yet the polish applied perfectly without need for cleanup. If you are having  hard time applying nail polish, this is the one to get.

Aqua Pretty:
The perfume has top notes of Hyacinth Flower and Bergamot, heart notes of Violet, Jasmine and Linden; and base notes of Musk, Moss and Cedarwood. Smells weird, I am hating the jasmine.
I love this color. I have a bag that I carry around 24/7 and it's the same color. Just like Citrus Playful, it's shiny, not very opaque, and applied perfectly. Picture shows two coats of polish.

Floral Passion:
The perfume has top notes of Pineapple, Blackcurrant, Honeydew, Melon and Lotus Blossom; heart notes of May Rose, Jasmine and Water Lily; and base notes of Peach, Mulberry, Sandalwood and Vetiver. This is my favorite of the bunch. It's sweet and very fresh.
The color is also very pretty. And like the others it's shiny, not very opaque, and applied perfectly. Picture shows two coats of polish.

In Conclusion:
I really love the small perfume. I am always leave my house running, always forget to put on perfume. These are just so perfect for traveling. The polishes are also nice, I just can't repeat enough how impressed I am with the formula and brushes. However cheap as I am, I don't think that I would pay $25 for these. Then again, these would make an adorable gift for someone.

Superficially Colorful Laquer- Fascinated Review

This is the last most favorite of the Superficially Colorful polishes. It's light blue when hot and dark (purplish)blue when cold. Non opaque and with a satin finish like all of the rest. Dried in 1,5 min. I don't think that I have mentioned it but all of the polishes had a thinnish texture and were easy to apply.

Superficially Colorful Laquer- Impulsive Review

Thos one is a glittery dark green when cold and a light green when warmed. Satin finish, quite translucent, dries in 1,5 min, bla bla bla, swaches.

Superficially Colorful Laquer- Provocative Review

I am continuing my reviews on the five mood polishes I got from  Superficially Colorful.
It's a glittery dark purple with a satin finish. In theory it's supposed to turn light (maybe even blueish) purple. However in my case it didn't. I am guessing it's from a bad batch. Nevertheless, it dried in 1,5 min, was easy to apply and not very opaque.

Cold
There is a slight difference, but it's not what it looked in Superficially Colorful's blog. Overall it's a very nice shade of purple.

Superficially Colorful Laquer- Daring Review

Here is the second polish I got from Superficially Colorful was Daring. It's a matte/satin simmering orange and yellow. A perfect bright color for summer. It is quite thin and easy to apply. It dried in 1,5 minutes. Quite translucent and  very moody. Two coats are shown in the photos.

Superficially Colorful Laquer-Giggly Review

Today I have a couple of very special polishes to show you. I won these from a nail art competition at Superficially Colorful. She sent me 5 gorgeous mood polishes. The first one up is Giggly.

This is the first indie polish I have ever tried. It is so pretty. When warm it is a glittery barbie pink. And when cold it is a quite dark glittery purple. The polish has a matte or satin finish. In the pictures I am wearing two

coats of Giggly with one coat of top coat. One coat of the polish dried in 1,5 minutes. The polish was too thin for my liking. But it was rather easy to apply. As you can see from my grand and amazing opacity test U+21E8.gif
the polish was quite translucent.

This is the polish when heated.
This is the polish naturally. I love it, it looks like a brush-on gradient.
The polish when cold. You should have seen the pain it took to get this picture. With 40 degrees Celsius
(140 F) here it was like being constantly flipped of by a bottle of nail polish.

Unfortunately you can't buy these, but hey, I am guessing Jin Jit from Superficially Colorful could be persuaded.

Cult nails-Hypnotize Me

I saved the best for the last. This polish is my definite favorite of the cult nail polishes I own. In the picture it's applied on top of a mint green nail polish ("424" by Flomar). It dries in 1,5 minutes. It is thicker than the rest of the polishes and considerably harder to apply. It also can't be worn without a base color. I used two coats for the green and one for the blue.
But it has the most amazing feature, it turns blue with black base color. So after finding that out I started applying it over every color I own. Unfortunately there weren't any significant changes to the polish. But I am a sucker for everything navy and glittery. Strongly and passionately in love with this polish. It reminds me of "Jacob's Protection" by Essence. The last bottle of which was bought right before my eyes, and I have been searching for it ever since. You can buy this vampy gorgeousness for $12 from here.

Cult Nails- Coveted

Coveted is a deep green metallic jelly polish with green flakes. It has a wonderful texture like all of the cult nail polishes I have tried, and it's easy to apply. It reminds me of beetles, which is odd since I have never really seen a beetle. It's painted over bare nails. I used 2 coats. One coat of this dried in 2 minutes. A bottle of 15ml can be bought  from the Cult Nails website for $12.

Since I don't know how to review a top coat, I am just going to give you a short description of it here. The top coat is called wicked fast, and that's just what it is. It's insanely fast drying, the polish dried in 35 seconds. I mean it dried completely hard in just 35 sec. I am seriously impressed. It didn't get any bubbles either. The formula is thin but easy to apply. You can buy a 15ml bottle of it for $10.

Cult Nails- I Got Distracted

I Got Distracted has a deep dark jelly base with holographic shimmer and green glitter. In the picture you can see the nail polish over bare nails. It is almost opaque in one layer. It reminds me of dark winter night sky. It's extremely rich in glitter, therefore the perfect eye catcher. I used 2 coats. The formula is thick and very easy to apply. A coat of this polish dries in about 2 minutes (measured with stopper). You can buy a 15ml bottle of this for $12 at the cult nails website.

Cult Nails- Happy Ending

Happy Saturday to everyone!
As some/none of you know I won the 1 year blogaversary Contest at Kelise's Nail Files.
The prize was $40 worth of Cult nails nail polish. I have been drooling over cult nail polish for ages.
And I finally got my hands (or nails) on some.

Look how cutely they were packed. Each one in their separate tissue and surrounded by cotton balls, all stikered up. The postman could have played football with the package and the nail polish would have been in prefect shape.
I Got Distracted-Wicked Fast-Happy Ending-Coveted-Hypnotize Me
I am going to do 4 posts because I feel like it's more orderly. So here is my first swatch.
Happy Ending is a gorgeous nail polish rich with shredded glitter in gold, orange, pink, and teal. The formula is great, the polish is rather thin but you don't have to fish for the glitter. In the picture to polish is shown (obviously) over black nail polish. It dried in 60 seconds, which is amazing in my opinion. I used two coats of the polish. In the corner you can see a flower test. Which I have just invented. It shows the opacity of the polish in one brushstroke. As you can see the glitter applies evenly. In conclusion I am very pleased with this polish. You can buy this at the official cult nails web page for $7.
